5 Things to do in Kuala Lumpur:
1. Petronas Twin Towers.
These twin towers are world-famous and put Kuala Lumpur on the map of many travellers. These towers stand 452 meters high and were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004. They are however still the tallest twin towers worldwide.
You can see them from almost anywhere in the city. A sky bridge connects the two towers and if you want to you can book tours to walk across the sky bridge and admire the incredible city view.
2. Kuala Lumpur Tower (KL Tower).
The KL tower shouldn’t be overlooked when you are in Kuala Lumpur. It stands 335 metres tall and offers breathtaking views of the city. You can take the lift to the top and enjoy a panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur.
If you have time, they have glass boxes that provide the perfect picture opportunity, however, the waiting time for these glass boxes can be more than 2 hours for a 5-minute photo session. If you have the time it’s worth it.
3. Lot 10 Food Court
Lot 10 is our favourite place to eat in Kuala Lumpur. It’s located at the bottom of the Lot 10 mall and it’s the ultimate food court. All the local vendors are invited to sell and make their food here. This means all the food here is delicious and the best so you won’t be disappointed.
Once inside, you will have a wide pick of vendor after vendor offering delicious food. This is the perfect place to try new dishes and eat some local cuisines. It’s such an adventure walking around and seeing all the food on offer from around Malaysia and the world.
4. Batu caves (Famous Colourful Stairs Temple).
Its believed that the limestones formed the caves around 400 million years ago. This is an incredible place to visit.
There are 272 steps to the caves so make sure you are ready to climb some stairs. The stairs are all different colours which make for beautiful pictures.
Inside the cave, there are 3 main areas and you can visit a 100-year-old temple. This cave temple is an important landmark for the Hindu religion.
There are also statues and shrines. The best part is that the cave is completely free of charge to visit.
5. Thean Hou Chinese Temple
This beautiful temple is one of the oldest temples in Southeast Asia. This temple is commonly known as the Goddess of Heaven.
It has 6 main tiers and all the orange lanterns around the temple have made it a tourist hotspot. This temple is stunning and we highly recommend visiting it either early morning or late afternoon.
