The Best Time to Visit South Africa:
The best time to visit South Africa is from September until December. This is the spring season. All the trees and flowers are blossoming. The temperature is nice and warm, but not too hot. It’s not as cold as May to September. This is when South Africa is experiencing winter however the cold temperatures are perfect for wildlife viewing. From December until April is the rainy season in South Africa. However, this shouldn’t be a reason to not visit during this time of the year. South Africa doesn’t experience heavy rain like in other parts of the world. It rains for about an hour or three on an average day, but you have the occasional days where it rains for days.
Currency in South Africa:
The currency that is used in South Africa is called Rand. 1 USD is about 14 South African Rand.
South Africa isn’t an expensive country to travel to. However, you must be aware that there aren’t many hostels and public transports so costs can quickly add up.
This country is home to many different religions and cultures. South Africa has 11 official languages. These languages include Sepedi, Sesotho, Setswana, siSwati, Tshivenda, Xitsonga, Afrikaans, English, isiNdebele, isiXhosa and isiZulu. The primary language spoken in South Africa is English so you won’t be faced with a language barrier.
