Pattaya is a city in Chonburi province on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast. It’s known for its beaches and nightlife. Pattaya used to be a quiet fishing village until the 1960s. Now the coastline is lined with resorts and hotels, luxury condos, shopping malls, bars and clubs. It has since transformed into the Pattaya Thailand we see today.
The city has two main beaches; Pattaya Beach and Jomtien beach. The city always had beautiful beaches and is the closest beach to Bangkok that is beautiful. However, due to its popularity over the years the beach has deteriorated. Pattaya isn’t the most popular place to come if you are seeking the perfect beach holiday. Despite this Pattaya offers stunning tourist attraction such as the Sanctuary of Truth, Koh Larn island, an 18meter tall buddha and so much more.
